January 11, 2006 on 10:44 pm | In Pixel Ads | No CommentsIn a totally anti-climactic finale, the Million Dollar Homepage is now history as the final 1,000 pixels was sold on eBay today for a paltry $38,000 (or so the final bid sits right now). This marks a rather cheap end to what appeared to be a spectacular bidding war that lead the price all the way up to $6,001,000 million as mentioned in my previous post. Nevertheless it stands to be noted that the Million Dollar Homepage is now the Million Dollar Thirty Seven Thousand Dollar Homepage. Not that it really matters.

Ten Million Dollar Homepage? Maybe Not?
January 5, 2006 on 4:45 pm | In Pixel Ads | No CommentsAs if Alex Tew hadn’t already generated enough envy through the advent of his Million Dollar Homepage, it appears he almost became a multi-millionaire from his simple and ingenious idea. You can see from my other posts that I have a 100 pixel advertisement on his site. Seeing the eBay auction for the final 1,000 pixels makes me feel like I got a REALLY good deal.
